Headlines JSC NMA Presents - Tom Sanzone JSC NMA Presents: Leadership Lessons Learned Over Four and a Half Decades at JSC - Tom Sanzone. Tom started his career with JSC in 1968, supporting Hamilton Sundstrand's efforts with the Portable Life Support System (backpack) used during Apollo. After training the majority of the Apollo astronauts (including Neil Armstrong), Tom became Engineering Manager then served as General Manager for Hamilton Sundstrand's Houston Office for Twenty-two years before retiring in 2011. Tom remained active with the JSC Team, serving as Advisor to the NMA Board for several years. Tom was a charter member of the Joint Leadership Team and received many awards, including the Silver Snoopy, NASA Exceptional Public Service Medal and the Rotary National Award for Space Achievement's Stellar Award. Tom is a dynamic, engaging speaker and you don't want to miss his leadership lessons! Please bring your lunch!
